Judge Bynum Files for Re-election

I am thrilled to announce to you the launch of my re-election campaign. Four years ago, I worked tirelessly in front of the Harris County Jail to talk to people visiting loved ones there and tell them they are not alone, that the system of cash bail was keeping nearly everyone inside the jail there because they could not afford to pay to get out.

Today, I am proud to tell you that because of our work, cash bail has been virtually eliminated for misdmeanor cases in Harris County. Our county leads the nation in bail reform for misdmeanors.

That is just one of many accomplishments of my time in office. I am proud to ask you for one more term.

On this website, I will be posting informative stories and videos to tell you the truth about building better courts in Harris County, and who the opponents to change are.

I am not a politician and we are once again not running a traditional political campaign. We are innovating again, this time with a monthly donation model that will let supporters get in exclusive content to help illustate what is happening in the courts and what needs to happen to keep progress going.
